Training for the future

Sunday, March 16, 2014   Five Members of the LSFD attended Truck Company Operations I over the past 2 days in order to prepare for the arrival of the Departments next apparatus. This training included the proper setup of ladders for operations during an emergency such as a building on fire, different search and rescue techniques for victims in a building, using different tools to perform tasks that will make it easier to control a fire, and more. Saturday, March 15, 2014   The Officers and Members of the LSFD would like to thank everyone that came to our Beef and Beer to support our station. We believe that everyone had a great time and there were many door prizes, and raffle baskets that were won this evening. Congratulations to all of our winners! Car fire at Leaps N Bounders

Thursday, March 13, 2014   The members of the Lower Southampton Fire Department responded to a call for a car on fire at 20:33 on Thursday night. Upon arriving on scene, the vehicle was showing fire from under the hood. The crew of the Marine unit used a dry chemical fire extinguisher to keep the fire under some control till the Engine arrived on scene. A Sad Day

Sunday, March 9, 2014   It was a sad day in Lower Southampton today when a young man decided to take his own life through chemical suicide. This method has become popular because of the ease of finding the instructions, and has been widespread by the media through incidents like this one. Caling all Traffic Control Personnel

Saturday, March 8, 2014   When the pager goes off, it is not always for fire alarms or vehicle crashes. This time it was for Traffic Control and the need was great. Do to an incident that was ongoing, when an incident becomes large, or lasts for an extended time, the need for traffic or crowd control can become great. Vehicle Rescue

Friday, February 28, 2014  The LSFD was called into action today for a vehicle rescue. The call came in for a vehicle that rolled over and the person was in need of assistance. The initial call came in for the intersection of Maple Ave and Bridgetown Pike. When the Chief arrived at that location there was no vehicle. Further investigation found the vehicle a short distance up Bridgetown Pike laying on its side. The driver was still inside of the vehicle and could not get out. Forceable Entry Training

Thursday, January 23, 2014  LSFD Firefighters train at Penddel Fire Co. Sta. 8 on a forceable entry prop. Members would like to thank Gabe Fox for his time training our guys and girls. Also a thank you to Chief Fox for allowing us to use their prop and station. Great training.

Building Fire on Sterner Mill Road

Friday, December 27, 2013 21:26  The Lower Southampton Fire Department responded to an emergency call this evening along with Stations 1, 65, 2, 4, and 84. The call originally came in as smoke and fire coming from a building. Upon arrival the responding companies found a trailer home with flames coming from the side furthest from the street.
