Special Service 6 is fully equipped with many tools designed for a multitude of tasks where fire fighting is not the primary goal. The apparatus can carry a total of 8 fire fighters including the Driver and Officer. It has a climate controlled cab for Fire Fighter safety and comfort. The truck is also equipped with a "cascade" which is a bank of air cylinders that enable it to refill the cylinders used by the Fire Fighters in their duties, allowing them to work longer when the need arises.
